About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how 808 GameLabs handles information when you use Water Merge (the “App”), package identifier com.gamelabs808.watersort.
Water Merge is published by Harshit Kumar Girdhar, trading as 808 GameLabs, Faridabad, Haryana, India (“808 GameLabs”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). Questions and privacy requests can be sent to [email protected].
1. Scope
This Policy applies to Water Merge and its in-app legal and support links. It does not govern an app store, advertisement, or third-party website that has its own privacy policy.
Water Merge has no 808 GameLabs account, login, cloud save, public chat, social feed, or online ranking.
2. Information kept on your device
The following information is stored locally in the App’s private storage:
- game progress, completed levels and their stars, the tips already shown, and your daily puzzle results and streak;
- the level in progress (its bottles, the liquid in each, and your pours), so an interrupted game can resume;
- your optional player name, selected avatar, and selected frame;
- sound, music, haptics, and language choices;
- onboarding and consent status;
- hint, reward, and advertising frequency counters; and
- a cached copy of game configuration.
808 GameLabs does not receive this local game data. Deleting the App or clearing its storage normally deletes it. Because there is no cloud save, we cannot restore it. Water Merge progress is separate from PlayOn and our other apps.
Water Merge does not send notifications of any kind: no reminders, no notification server, no Firebase Cloud Messaging, no remote push notifications.
3. Information processed when the App connects
Depending on your device, region, consent choices, build configuration, and the feature used, the following information may be processed:
Gameplay and app analytics
Google Analytics for Firebase may receive events such as opening or completing a game, the level involved, outcome, score, duration, and use of game features such as hints. Google may also process an app instance identifier and technical information such as app version, device model, operating system, language, approximate region derived from an IP address, and event time.
We use this information to find crashes, understand whether levels are working as intended, and improve the App. We do not send your optional player name or the contents of your saved board as analytics properties.
Crash reports
Firebase Crashlytics may receive crash stack traces, diagnostic logs, app version, device model, operating system details, available memory or storage, crash time, and installation or session identifiers. We use this information to diagnose and fix failures.
Advertising
Google AdMob and its advertising partners may process an IP address, device and app information, advertising or app-scoped identifiers where available, consent signals, and interactions with an advertisement. These services use the information to deliver ads, limit repetition, prevent fraud, measure performance, and, where you have allowed it, personalize ads.
Water Merge uses interstitial ads between suitable game moments. It may also offer optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch for an in-game benefit described before you watch, such as an additional hint, an extra bottle, an extra life, or more time on a timed level. It does not use banner ads or app-open ads.
Non-personalized and limited ads can still require technical information such as an IP address for delivery, security, frequency control, and aggregate reporting.
Configuration and web requests
The App may request a small configuration file used for matters such as ad frequency and game tuning. The server or content delivery network receives ordinary request data such as an IP address, time, app version, and network information. Compiled-in defaults keep the App working when the file cannot be reached.
If you open our Privacy Policy, Terms, or support pages in a browser, the website host receives the information normally sent with a web request. The copies of this Policy and the Terms bundled in the App work offline. If you contact us by email, we receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to send.
4. Information we do not ask for
The App does not ask for your legal name, postal address, phone number, contacts, photos, files, microphone, camera, precise location, health information, or payment-card details.
The optional player name is a local label. Do not use sensitive personal information in it.
5. Consent and your choices
- EEA, UK, Switzerland, and other supported regions: Water Merge uses Google’s consent flow where required. If a privacy-options entry is available in Settings, you can reopen it and change or withdraw your choice.
- iOS: Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt controls permission for tracking across other companies’ apps and websites. You can change it in iOS Settings. Declining does not limit play.
- Android and iOS: you can reset or restrict the advertising identifier through device privacy settings.
- Local data: you can erase it by clearing App storage or deleting the App.
- Rewarded ads, where offered: watching one is optional. Declining does not prevent ordinary play.
6. Why we process information
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on:
- your consent for personalized advertising, tracking, and storage or access that requires consent;
- our legitimate interests in operating, securing, debugging, measuring, and improving a free game, where those interests are not overridden by your rights;
- performance of our agreement with you when processing is needed to provide a feature you request; and
- compliance with legal obligations and the establishment or defence of legal claims.
7. Sharing
We do not sell personal information for money.
We disclose information only:
- to service providers that support the functions described above, principally Google for AdMob, consent management, Firebase Analytics, and Crashlytics, and providers that host our website or configuration;
- when you direct us to, such as by opening a third-party link;
- when required by law or a valid legal process; or
- to protect users, the public, 808 GameLabs, or the security and integrity of the App.
Google and advertising partners may act as independent controllers for some advertising purposes. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, including Google’s at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
8. Retention
- Local game and settings data remains until it is overwritten, you clear App data, or you delete the App.
- Firebase Crashlytics generally keeps crash stack traces and associated identifiers for 90 days before removal begins, according to Google’s published Firebase information.
- Analytics and advertising information is retained under our configured settings and the applicable Google policies.
- Support email is normally kept for up to 24 months after the matter is closed, unless a longer period is needed for security, legal compliance, or a continuing dispute.
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above.
9. International transfers
Our providers may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we and our providers use recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions or contractual protections.
10. Children
Water Merge is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13.
You must be at least 13 to accept the in-app welcome notice. If the law where you live requires authorization from a parent or guardian at an older age, you may use the App only with that authorization. In India, this includes users treated as children under applicable data-protection law.
If you believe a child’s information has been processed contrary to this section, contact [email protected]. Because the App has no account, please include enough technical detail for us and our providers to identify the relevant record where possible.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection; withdraw consent; opt out of certain advertising disclosures; nominate another person where applicable; and complain to a data-protection authority.
To make a request, email [email protected] with “Privacy request” in the subject. We may need to verify the request and ask for an app instance, advertising, or installation identifier because Water Merge has no account and cannot locate records by your name alone. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
California residents may also have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of a “sale” or “sharing” as those terms are defined by California law. Personalized advertising disclosures can be treated as sharing even when no money changes hands.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. Network traffic to supported services uses encrypted connections, and local data is stored in the App’s private storage area. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
13. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy when Water Merge, our providers, or applicable requirements change. We will update the date above. If a change materially affects how information is used, the App will present an updated notice or request acceptance where appropriate.
